@jarkko The only way they will get me into that store is if a giant paperclip follows you around while you shop! I can hear it now..."It looks like your trying to make a Guru Bar appointment, you should just buy a Mac and give up instead."

The store has a video wall, static photos don't do the store justice.

I would have liked to see some home servers, xbox 360s and Microsoft Surfaces.

Even the 'Infinite Possibilities' has a resemblence of some of the iPhone app adverts. Couldn't find the exact one with flying apps - think it was at WWDC, but this one is pretty close: http://www.foxnews.com/images/525736/0_61_phone_320.jpg

Why is everyone worried that MS copied Apple? Apple users can't possbily feel threatened. Can they?

C'mon, guys! This looks *nothing* like an Apple store: there are no crowds--you can see the floor!

It seems that, for the most part, people are satisfied so long as things look like the real thing.

Threatened? Certainly not. I find it hilarious!

It's almost guaranteed that when Apple come up with something their competitors end up doing the same. It makes them look daft and devoid of ideas.

Example: Apple make Macbooks and iMacs white. About 4 years later I start seeing white consumer electronics everywhere, around this time Apple release the first unibody Macbooks which are silver and black. Now all of a sudden the white imitation stuff just looks dated. Basically Apple are running rings around their competitors and I for one find it pretty damn funny.

Wow. I can't believe that some of you Microsoft FANBOYS cannot see how this is specifically ripping off the Apple Store concept!

I really don't think there's such a thing as a Microsoft fanboy, everyone I know hates Vista! Yes, the store may be a rip-off, but then how many stores have ripped off HMV? In business if an idea takes off, it WILL be copied. Yes, Apple do set trends, but as their user base is so loyal to them, they will almost always be successful.

This is really really bad. Where is the design it looks to me like a 70's version of the future. um "look a computer from the not so distant future".

I hope you guys realize that Apple copied off of Microsoft's first store. Microsoft unsuccessfully launched a store years ago, Apple took their ideas and made the Apple store. The only real difference was that they did it successfully.

Looking forward to seeing a Microsoft store in Indianapolis... Then again I'm moving...
